ONE Tuesday
Christ Church’s Adult Formation is in the process of refreshment and renewal. In response to the “A Sure Foundation” campaign, Christ Church will introduce ONE Tuesday, a once-monthly evening of Education, Formation and Fellowship for the entire Christ Church family. Supper will begin at 6:00 PM in Taylor Hall, followed by the Adult Formation program at 6:30 PM. A program for children will be offered in the Undercroft, and childcare will be available for children four years old and under. To close the evening, the parish will gather again in Taylor Hall for a short prayer service.

ONE Tuesdays has as its theme the Episcopal Church’s commitment to the Millenium Development Goals through Christ Church’s membership as a ONE parish. For more information about the MDGs and the ONE Tuesday program, please click here.

The Bible for Beginners, All ages
Our Bible for Beginners meets every other Thursday throughout the year and is a leisurely exploration of the Bible geared for adults who have little or no background in studying

First Friday Film Series
Our First Friday Film Series continues this year beginning in October with the theme “Evil and Good.” After snacks and the movie, all are invited to stay for a discussion to reflect on the theological message of each film and how it speaks to our understanding of the presence of evil in God’s good creation. the scriptures. Currently we are working our way through the Old Testament.

Mothers’ Morning Fellowship (MMF)
This group of mothers of school-age children meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 AM in the Meditation Room for spiritual reflection on the challenges of raising faithful children in an increasingly secular landscape and finding time for God in our stressful and overscheduled lives. If you yearn for a little “time out” for the soul, please drop in any Wednesday morning to take part in this informal gathering. For more information, contact the Rev. Kate Malin.

Center for Spiritual Growth
The Christ Church Center for Spiritual Growth provides opportunities for prayer, study, journaling and spiritual direction through short courses, ongoing small groups, retreats and one-on-one conversation. Its aim is to be a resource to the parish and wider community by providing ways of deepening the spiritual life of individuals and groups and strengthening the connection between prayer and service.

For more information about the program, please call Hondi Brasco, Director of the Center, at the Church (337-3544) or at home (771-8870).

The Circle of Light
Tuesday mornings at 9:30 A.M, this interfaith prayer group is actively praying and working for peace and mutual understanding, sharing the richness of our traditions as Christians, Jews, Muslims and Buddhists. If you would like to join us, please call Hondi Brasco at the Church or at home (771-8870).

Meditation Library
The Meditation Library is located downstairs and houses spiritual and theological books for our community. Parishioners are encouraged to read and savor them. The tradition of lectio divina or slow meditative reading of the Bible and inspirational books is one of the means by which we can listen and respond to God.

The Women’s Spirituality Group
Every Thursday morning the Women’s Spirituality Group gathers in the Conference Room on an informal basis for discussion, prayer and spiritual growth. Meetings are organized around biblical texts and themes, as well as books of particular interest. These meetings provide an opportunity for women to come together to listen, share ideas and discern God’s presence in our lives. Call Ruth Singleton (337-6450).
